SOCSARGEN Peace Network has been actively advocating peace and development activities in SOCSARGEN area since 2007 as a loose network of individuals, organizations and institutions.

It was in September 28, 2011 that the SOCSARGEN Peace Network, Inc. was registered in the Securities and Exchange Commission with Company Reg. No. CN201131838 as a Non Government Organization (NGO).

As an NGO, SOCSARGEN Peace Network, Inc. will continue to

1. Pursue peace initiatives among Tri-people (Muslim, Christians and Indigenous Peoples)

2. Develop economic social enterprise of the Tri-people.

3. Pursue and implement integral care for the environment.

4. Develop sense of volunteerism among Tri-youth.

5. Help in securing funds and training to deserving Tri-youth scholars.

6. Collaborate with the local and national government in good governance.

7. Deliver health services in the poor communities like conducting medical missions done by duly licensed

physicians.

8. Conduct trainings and consultancies in peace and developments to various organizations.

9. Conduct spiritual values formation to the volunteers and communities.

10. Engage media practitioners and media outlets in peace and development information.

11. Facilitate sports program for the tri-youth movement.


The network opened the path of dialogue among Muslims, Christians, and Indigenous Peoples in the SOCSARGEN AREA. Thru its various programs and projects it made possible the exchange of ideas, beliefs, appreciation of each culture and religion. The network will continue to promote the culture of respect and peace.

Recent activities includes Integral Development for community in Gasi that includes baseline data gathering, systems developments, organizing PO’s, livelihood projects, psychosocial programs, construction of core shelter, level II water systems, establishments of Botika ng Barangay, etc.

Economic development on the advocacy of “Peace is food on the table” has been extended to former MNLF combatants turned entrepreneur on their “Sweet Peace” branded cocosugar and the tri-people community for their “Saravia’s Best” branded vinegar and Langkawas Sinamak.

The “Tree Growing Project” for the environmental advocacy was also launched in mountain of Brgy. Talkon, boundary of Koronadal Proper and municipal of T’boli and will be replicated on various declared or undeclared watershed areas.

Volunteer experts on various fields like medicine, IT, engineering, governance, peace advocacy and development, military, religious, business, education, environmentalist and media converged in this network to provide and integrated and holistic approach to peace and development for the tri-people in SOCSARGEN.
